Google Calendar integration in Classroom helps with scheduling. Google’s guide on Calendar in Classroom (https://support.google.com/edu/classroom/answer/6149237) covers the basics, but let’s look at tools to maximize it.
Access the Classroom calendar via the sidebar—it shows all due dates. When you schedule an assignment in Classwork (click the dropdown arrow and pick a date), it automatically appears in Calendar (calendar.google.com). Teachers can create events like “Parent-Teacher Meeting” in Calendar and add the class Meet link for easy access.
For reminders, set notifications in Calendar. Open an event, click “Add Notification,” and choose “10 minutes before” to alert students. To share schedules, export the Classroom calendar—click the three dots next to it, select “Settings and Sharing,” and copy the public link to post in the Stream.
Use Google Tasks for personal planning. In Calendar, click “Tasks” to add to-dos like “Grade Quiz 1.” These sync with your Classroom workflow, keeping you on track. Calendar and Tasks ensure you and your students never miss a deadline.
