Resilience celebrations in October occur statewide and culminate around bringing people together to learn more and promote resilience. Annually since 2019, the Resilience Project has co-facilitated interactive cross-Peninsula events and multi-cultural presentations using a number of platforms, to reconnect, inform, and introduce neighbors across the Olympic Peninsula.
The month long series of events is designed to offer current wellbeing, hope, and health research and resources to the Olympic Peninsula. Resilience Month Events and Kits provides hundreds of attendees with accessible tips and strategies.

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration (SAMHSA) offers the Four R’s as a helpful way to think about trauma informed care:
“A program, organization, or system that is trauma-informed
realizes the widespread impact of trauma and understands potential paths for recovery;
recognizes the signs and symptoms of trauma in clients, families, staff, and others involved with the system;
and responds by fully integrating knowledge about trauma into policies, procedures, and practices, and seeks to actively resist re-traumatization.”
