This activity provided me with many valuable lessons. It was here that I started to gain an understanding into the complexity of formulating a research study. When choosing participants, I had to make sure they were easily accessible, as well as making sure they were a specific group, but not too specific. Then, I had to formulate a research question I would like to explore in my participant groups. Doing the mind map helped me vastly when it came to choosing the participant group and research question I am currently using for my research project. I was able to see which participant groups and research question were the strongest and interested me the most.
