The cost for hiring skilled workers in Morocco is around 25% of what you would pay in Europe.
You can have the boat for one and a half year in Morocco.
We can bring the boat here.. from anywhere.
The cost to stand on the hard is about the same as in many cheap places i Europe, but here you don't have to pay in advance and you can live on the boat while it is being worked on.

Mounir looks mighty proud of the bowsprit that he built from scratch for S/Y Shalom in Iroko hard wood - that can be found very cheap in Morocco.
Before Mounir started to work for me he renovated this 80 foot wooden ketch, from bare hull, for 8 years. The result was astonishing and she is now out sailing the seven seas.

This is S/Y Shalom, a Lord Nelson 35 that was very damaged during hurricane Irma 2016 in the Caribbean. After 7 months with Mounir she was good as gold again.
We applied 6 layers of gelcoat with air gun plus 1000 & 2000 grade polish and wax..
Shalom was sold even before the last layers of paint was on.
The pulpit is new, made by Rachid. As well as the bowsprit made by Mounir.
When Mounir is ready with his paint job, the boats come out looking like brand new.
The problem with Mounir's work is that one becomes so afraid to scratch anything... so better stay in Marina for ever.
The price for being on the hard in Marina Smir is about 80% of the cost here in Spain. Stay more than six months and one gets a really good deal.
Joshuas renovation is ready and back she goes in to the water.. This was a good day for me that had spent a year with her on land.
Goma Rota L32 all masked up for being sprayed with gelcoat.
Ambra L32 is ready to go back in to water, total renovation in and out plus engine. New boat!
Mounir has been working full time with me for 5 years now but/and we take in more people as needed. Here we have him with Hassan.
Jusuf on the mobile.. if there is something that the Moroccan are good at except working with boats it´s communicating with their phones.
Otman, me, Muhammed, Abdul
Rachid has done a lot of work for me and is the man I turn to for everything metallic. Like stainless welding constructions, hull repairs on steel yachts, change of cutlass bearings and shafts, service of folding propellers etc...
