Carver Krukow "Harvest at the Farm"
8x11.5, Combo, 2020
My idea was originally to draw a combine in the field harvesting grain, then I changed my mind and wanted to draw a view that most people from the road don't see. I experience this every fall.
First I had a thought in my head and I drew it out and I didnt like it, so I thought of another view and I sketched it out and kept redrawing until I got it right. Then I figured out which things I wanted to color and keep the same.
It doesn't mean anything, it's more of a view, like a bird's view. I just want them to see the other view than most people see from the road of the combine in the field.
I always have a difficult time choosing colors and what to draw. I always like to draw stuff from the side and this time I drew it from the front. If I had to start over I would change the colors.
I think that it's Realistic, and I made it my own style because it shows old equipment working. I love the feel of the work because it reminds me of fall and I love fall.
