For this activity students were instructed to use Flipaclip or any other animator App or software to create an animation entitled A Day in the Life of a Cell. Students were instructed to create character/(s) that captures the function of cell organelles. They had the option of selecting either a plant or an animal cell . May be done as a group activity or solo. Suited for face to face, virtual or hybrid learning.
Students were tasked with creating models of the plant and animal cell. Models should be 2/3 dimensional and they should incorporate jello . In addition they should present their work explaining the difference between the plant and animal cell as well state the function of the organelles. This was done in the virtual space but can be done face to face .
This is a good way to practice integration given the making of jello can be tied with Food and Nutrition
