Paper published
2017 - 2020 Chris Lin, NTU graduate student
Title: ``Searching for Balmer-dominated Type Ia SNRs in M33"
2017 - 2019 Chen-Hung Chen, NCU undergraduate student
Title: ``N160 Runaway Star"
Ongoing
2020 - present NTU undergraduate and graduate students
Title: ``Crime Scene Investigation in LMC Supernova Remnants"
Goal: Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC) has a large sample of supernova remnants (SNRs).
At this distance, physical structures of SNRs and nearby stars can be well
resolved. We use the underlying stellar population of a core-collapse SNR
in the LMC to estimate the upper limit of this SN progenitor's mass.
Data: HST, Blanco 4m Telescope (imaging), SMASH DR2, Gaia DR2
Past
2020 - 2021 Chien-Jia Lee, NTU graduate student
Title: ``A HST View of the Interstellar Environments of YSO in the Cosmic Reef"
Goal: To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Hubble Space Telescope (HST), NASA
releases one of its most beautiful images: ``Cosmic Reef". We use HST images to
probe the nature and physical properties of YSOs in the ``Cosmic Reef" in the LMC.
Data: HST, Spitzer, Blanco 4m Telescope (imaging), NANTEN
2018 NTU undergraduate and graduate students
Title: ``A Multi-wavelength Comprehensive Study of 30 Doradus"
Goal: 30 Doradus is the largest star-forming site in a neighboring galaxy.
We make a comprehensive study of the interstellar and circumstellar medium,
star formation and feedback, and physical structures of 30 Doradus.
Data: HST, Spitzer, Chandra, Blanco 4m Telescope (imaging and echelle
spectroscopy), Gaia DR2, NANTEN
