Here's a little summary of my professional background: I am a UC Foundation Professor and graduate faculty member in the Department of Psychology at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC). I also serve as the Graduate Program Director for our top-notch MS in Industrial and Organizational (I-O) Psychology degree program. Outside of UTC, I am the Chief Science Officer for Logi-Serve (a provider of competency-based assessments and other science-based talent management solutions); you can learn more about that work by checking out logi-serve.com.
At UTC, I teach/have taught a wide variety of graduate courses in I-O psychology, organizational development and consulting, and occupational health psychology (OHP), as well as a variety of core courses within our undergraduate psychology curriculum. Scroll down for a clear listing of these teaching experiences.
In terms of research, you can get a good idea of my interests by reviewing the content on this website and by reviewing my current CV (click here for direct access). My research mainly addresses topics related to worker health and well-being, including: stress and recovery processes and practices; the influence of individual differences in cognitions and behaviors, as well as environmental factors on health- and wellbeing-related outcomes; and topics related to managing multiple work and nonwork roles. Although these topics are a bit diverse, I am passionate about optimizing the work experience for workers and organizations.
