In 2014 the program instructors developed a plan to implement a recommended curriculum. As this program has evolved and with the implementation of MSIP 6 Standards the Missouri Career Technical Education Criminal Justice Programs have worked to implement the Missouri Law Enforcement Skills and Knowledge (MOLESK) Industry Recognized Credential and (IRC) process.
The IRC accomplishes two purposes:
Provides for credentialing of students performing at proficient levels on Industry Recognized assessments and
Meets Technical Skill Assessment requirements for completers of a program of study.

Encourage career center students who are student members of MPOA to complete our Career Center Student Scholarship Application that can be found on our website under the “Foundation” tab. Applications are reviewed by our Scholarship Committee and a selection is made. One scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $500.
Be sure they complete the Career Student Scholarship Application, as we also have an application listed that is for students of our members.
Students passing the assessment will receive the certificate below.
Concentrators will participate in the performance assessment. CTEC should verify their students qualify for testing using the DESE-approved IRC Student Qualification form. As there is an attendance portion, instructors should remind students they can be disqualified for poor attendance. The performance assessment will be given at a DESE-approved testing site in Jefferson City. If the completer successfully meets/achieves the required objectives for the assessment, they will obtain the MOLESK /IRC Credential sponsored by the Missouri Peace Officers Association.
Instructors will bring a copy of this form with them for each student to Jefferson City.
