I have a windows 10 machine that has an outdated version of Citrix Receiver. As far as I can tell I've uninstalled all versions from all profiles on the computers. When I try to install Citrix Workspace on the computer I'm getting a message that another instance of Citrix is already installed and I have to uninstall it.

I've gone through the registry to try to move Citrix manually but am still getting the error message. Is there a removal/cleanup tool that I can use to help remove Citrix receiver and any other Workspace version that might be on my machine.

Whenever I am trying to uninstall the application, it is showing the above things. I have gone through the steps the steps recommended for the problem. Installed the cleaner app but still it has not worked for me. I upgraded the citrix workspace from it previous version after which I was not able to open the instances for remote access pf the system. Please help and recommend suggestion. I have been trying for around 3-4 days but not been able to resolve the issue.

In the past I can remember a tool which had to be installed on the windows client which removed the X button. But that only worked for certain ICA client versions.

But this is actually avoiding your problem.

Is not the real problem that if a user clicks the cross, the session gets disconnected. And when then logon again, it doesn't pick up the old session? If so, I think you should fix that first!

Yes, you can logoff a session when you click on the cross, the problem is that they always click on the cross of the citrix receiver instead of outlook or any other openen program.

Certainly the older users have these issues. If I initiate a logoff on close, instead of a disconnect, they need to wait longer again to logon.

I've found a program called NoClose and AppScaleSomething both wont work.

Thanks for your input :)

I am trying to use my workplace VDI from my personal machine. When I try to run the .ica file it installs citrix and does nothing else. Whenever I try to launch the citrix by running the .ica file, it asks for reinstallation. This is frustrating. Need Help !!!!!

For more information about the receiver, including licensing, client device system requirements, and installation instructions, see Citrix Receiver for Windows 4.4 on the Citrix Product Documentation site. Citrix recommends that you run the Receiver Clean-Up Utility to remove any previously installed Citrix Receiver for Windows before installing this version.

I run Citrix Receiver (now bundled in Workspaces) on my personal Windows 10 desktop. I have found that it automatically disables Visual Effects, specifically "Animate windows when minimizing and maximizing". Further research points to "concentr.exe" as the culprit

My Citrix portal not launching apps/desktop on Windows 10. It works fine on windows 7 machines. It is giving me an error 1110 when I launch the desktop and Error Server.ssl error 61 on the apps. Anyone experience this with Windows 10? Citrix has a case open but they don't have a suspicion.

From a security perspective its necessary to configure a secure screensaver on their desktop in the datacenter to ensure any connecting device receives a password prompt when the user is idle a certain amount of time, but it can be a management nightmare to exclude users from receiving double password prompts from managed windows devices.

This issue extends from desktops, to laptops and to thin clients too and it often bugged me how often I spent entering my password twice each day.

With Caffeine for receiver, you install a lightweight application that runs in the system tray. This application automatically attaches to Receiver sessions (via the ICA Client Object) and sends a keep alive every minute to ensure the remote screen saver never kicks in. Leaving just the local secure screensaver to lock the users out.

Sometimes, the Windows auto logon does not work when a user logs into the windows machine in an Always On service mode. The machine tunnel does not transition to the user tunnel and the message Connecting is displayed in the VPN plug-in UI.
