- To get the lake managed in more of a river-of-flow based on target levels from May to Columbus Day weekend each year.
- To improve and protect the fisheries and environmental wildlife, recreation, aesthetics of the lake, and the local economy
- To maintain a consistent and open dialogue with the New York Power Authority and the New York State Canal Corporation on the management of the lake
