The CIS Lab(Consumer Insight & Sustainability Lab) explores the intersection of consumer needs, product strategy, and social responsibility to empower sovereign consumers in a changing world.
Building on this perspective, we study how everyday consumer behavior shapes sustainable and just futures. Our research focuses on sustainable consumer practices, social participation, and consumer agency in the context of climate change, technological transformation, and broader societal shifts.
Rather than viewing consumers as passive end users, we examine how consumers actively engage with markets, technologies, and institutions through their daily choices and collective actions. We analyze the interaction between consumer needs and experiences, emerging systems such as digital platforms and AI-driven markets, and sustainability-oriented policies.
By generating actionable consumer insights, we aim to inform product and service design, market governance, and public decision-making. As a transdisciplinary think tank, the CIS Lab bridges consumer research with sustainability, innovation, and social responsibility to support future transitions and advance the common good.
