In early July 2026, we underwent a 16-day Road Trip from Southern Ontario, through the provinces of Quebec and Nova Scotia in our goal to visit Newfoundland, Canada. Our first stop, the town of Port-aux-Basques, was especially important as this town is designated to be Canada's most autism-friendly town. While we know we wanted to share all that we were experiencing with families and their autistic children and youth, we weren't at the time sure how this would look. However, when you are behind the wheel of an automobile (great song btw) for long periods of time, your brain keeps busy and mine began writing stories. I just needed a tangible outlet in which to create. VOILA! Introducing The Dogpack - books written through the voices of my dogs, inspired by my own neurodivergent sons and the students I've worked with throughout my teaching career. Leveraging the internet to make connections, CirKarma Sessions have been designed to circumvent geographical barriers. While our sessions will be virtual, do not let that aspect scare you. With years of experience making connections online, we make emotional and social connections through shared experiences, high interest topics, and the amplification of voices, regardless of their mode. We are a true family-based, connection affair!
