Outreach
I currently co-organize a Directed Reading Program at Spelman and Morehouse Colleges with Yewande Olubummo (Spelman College) and Ulrica Wilson (Morehouse College). The Directed Reading Program is a math mentorship program for students at Spelman and Morehouse to work with grad students, postdocs, professors, and research scientists on virtual semester-long reading projects. The program is funded by Spelman, Morehouse, the AMS, and the NSF.
Past Outreach
In September 2021, I co-organized a special session of lightning talks by early-career women mathematicians for the AWM We Speak! Monthly Virtual Talks Series. We Speak! was a monthly virtual talks series that celebrated the 50th anniversary of the AWM and featured talks by women who have made a difference in the landscape of math, through their research or outreach.
In Winter 2020, I supervised three students on a thesis project in Knot Theory for the Cégep Supervision Program at McGill. The Cégep Supervision Program was a semester-long mentoring program for students in Cégep (a post-secondary, pre-university program in the Montréal educational system) to work with faculty at McGill.
In April 2019, I organized a one-day workshop for girls in Montréal interested in math and science.
In AY 2017-2018, I was a mentor for the AWM Mentor Network.
In Spring 2016, I co-founded and co-organized the Directed Reading Program at Brandeis. I also led two projects, one on Surfaces in Spring 2016 and another on Lie Algebras in Spring 2017.
In Summer 2015, I co-founded and co-organized the Summer Math Prep Camp at Brandeis for incoming math grad students. I was also a co-instructor for the refresher course on Topology.
