Hello! I am an educator and researcher in the mathematics department at Duke University, serving as a Phillip Griffiths Assistant Research Professor and an NSF MPS postdoctoral fellow.
My research focus lies in the areas of low-dimensional topology and gauge theory, with applications to bordered and Heegaard Floer homologies, 3-manifolds, exotic structures on 4-manifolds, and knots. Current/Applied Directions: Geometric Data Analysis, Manifold Learning, and Diffusion Geometry applied to social science datasets.
I am always happy to chat about opportunities for collaboration.
Previously, from Sept 2020-Jan 2022, I was a postdoctoral fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics, working with Arunima Ray. From Sept 2017-Aug 2020, I was a postdoctoral researcher at CIRGET, Université du Québec à Montréal, working with Liam Watson and Steve Boyer, and an instructor at McGill University. I completed my PhD in May 2017 at Brandeis University, advised by Danny Ruberman.
