Circular Development Initiatives is a non-profit research institution dedicated to advancing circular and regenerative urban and regional development. 

Within the framework of collaborative actions, systemic transformation, and sustainability transition, we offer a range of services:

Pro-Bono Consultation

During our 30-minute pro-bono consultation, we illustrate how circular and regenerative approaches can transform urban and regional development. We highlight the significance of closing resource loops, minimizing waste, and restoring ecosystems to create more sustainable communities, cities, and regions.

Living Lab and Experimentation

We are ready to assist cities, regions, and organizations in establishing living labs and experimentation as crucial initial steps towards circular and regenerative transitions. Our support includes developing prototypes, monitoring experiments, and sharing knowledge to inspire broader initiatives, accelerating progress towards upscaling and embedding the experiments in the regime. Through co-creation workshops, we foster collaboration and idea generation, ensuring diverse perspectives are integrated.

Campaign and Content Creation

Our campaign and content creation service is designed to amplify the message and impact of circular and regenerative development initiatives. We work closely with organizations and stakeholders to develop targeted campaigns and engaging content that educates, inspires, and mobilizes communities towards sustainable action.

Research and Consulting

In our research and consulting services, we delve into the practical applications of circular and regenerative principles in urban and regional contexts. We conduct detailed analyses to identify opportunities for integrating these approaches into planning, design, and implementation processes. By providing tailored recommendations and action plans, we empower decision-makers to embrace innovative solutions that prioritize sustainability and resilience.

We also offer pro-bono services for the involvement of our experts in scientific research, policy research, experiments, workshops, focusing on circularity for cities and regions. 

Capacity Building

Our capacity-building sessions equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to integrate circular and regenerative practices into their work. We cover a diverse range of topics, including the theoretical foundations of circular development, categories of circularity, governance, systems mapping, sustainability transitions planning, and nature-based solutions. These sessions are designed to provide practical insights and actionable strategies.

We offer three types of capacity-building events. First, we have public events, such as Circular Talks (online seminars or talkshows) and Circular Podcasts, open to anyone interested in learning more about circular development. Second, we provide Youth Internships that engage students and fresh graduates, offering hands-on experience. Third, we offer intensive training programs tailored for organizations, including governments and companies, to help them learn about and implement circular development practices.

Matchmaking and Collaboration

In matchmaking and collaboration facilitation, we connect stakeholders who are committed to advancing circular and regenerative development goals. We bring together government agencies, NGOs, businesses, and community groups to collaborate on projects that promote sustainability and resilience. By fostering partnerships and alliances, we leverage collective expertise and resources to tackle complex challenges such as sustainable urbanization, equitable access to resources, and climate adaptation. Through collaborative action, we create opportunities for transformative change that benefits both people and the planet.
