Circle Etiquette

Visiting Circle:

1. We are an open circle but we do hold member only events.

If a member of CSR has not specifically invited to an event, and you wish to attend, please email the Circle regarding that event. The email is: circlesilverraven@gmail.com

2. Circle dress code.

Rituals are a religious observance for Circle. The members usually wear robes and cords. For visitors, casual dress is appropriate. Most of the time we hold ritual outdoors so weather appropriate shoes (it can get muddy) and outerwear is preferred. We do not worship “skyclad” as a group which means nude (clad only in the sky).

3. What should visitors bring?

An open mind. Please bring an outdoor chair to sit in. Feel free to bring a bottle of water and a personal snack if you have allergies or dietary restrictions. Members usually bring potluck items but we have a range of dietary restrictions in our group.

4. If you are a visitor, please feel free to ask us what the ritual will be like.

If you are unsure what to expect, you can email the group or arrive a few minutes early and talk to a High Priestess.

5. Etiquette during ritual.

Ritual usually only lasts an hour to 90 minutes.  We will point out who you should talk to if you need to leave circle during ritual. Please turn off or silence all electronic devices.

7. We are respectful of our ritual location.

Typically rituals are held in someone’s house, so please be a respectful guest and inquire of the rules of the location.

8. Consent! Please ask before you hug, shake hands, fist bumps, etc.

9. Follow up.

If you were a guest and you enjoyed yourself and would like to visit again, please reach out.

The High Priestess reserves the right to amend these rules.
