This comic was made for a publication at UdK, and is inspired by the 24h comic day. It shows an average day studying Visual Communication at uni, from the perspective of a first year student doing the "basics" course. I chose a non-human character to serve as a blank slate, so that anyone - both an older student as well as someone who's still in the process of applying - could see themselves in them.

This comic was an experimental retelling of my experience living in Yerevan for a month immediately after graduating. Me and a few of my friends couldn't immediately return to our homelands back then due to covid, so we tried living independently for the first time of our lives. It was a very chaotic, but nonetheless fun time!
I've sadly never gotten to finish this comic, but I still find the experimentation very valuable.
BAGI2023-01.pdf"Ekko: the loss of self" is a short retelling of the myth of Ekko and Narkyssos. It's written to focus on the philosophical aspects of the myth, and with a larger emphasis on Ekko's often overlooked role.
This work was made for the application process at KHiO, and used a mix of watercolors and digital art.
Katzenkarneval 1 (1).pdfThis was the first ever comic I made in book-format, and it was part of a school project in Visual Arts. It is a retelling of a short story of the same name by Edith Schreiber-Wicke, a German children's book author. I used to listen to the audiobook often as a child, and when I found it again on accident, I knew I had to make it into a short comic.
This was my first ever finished comic, and it was about my experience with the selection process at UWC Brasil. I started it in 2019 and continued it in 2020, which is why there's a huge gap in quality in between the first and the second part. More than anything I see it nowadays as a great first step and experience at comic-making.
