Hi, I’m Dr. Amruta Avinash Shendge, National Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Cilia Biology Lab, IIT Bombay. I am a recipient of a prestigious ANRF (Anusandhan National Research Foundation) National Postdoctoral Fellowship award (Oct-2025). I completed my Ph.D. in February 2024 from the UM-DAE Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences. My research focuses on understanding the stress-induced effects on Chlamydomonas reinhardtii and its relevance to human diseases such as Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia (PCD). At IIT-Bombay, I am further exploring the molecular mechanisms governing ciliary dynamics in the context of cancer progression.
Through my work I aim to bridge fundamental cell biology and disease relevance by uncovering how cellular stress impacts ciliary structure and function.
Beyond research, I enjoy travelling and discovering new places!
