Cichlid eco-evo-devo lab
Our research focuses on the mechanisms underpinning the evolution of organismal diversity – how they are genetically and developmentally determined, and what are the selective forces that shape it. We use an multidisciplinary approach that combines developmental genetics, quantitative and population genetics and behavioural techniques. Combining approaches brings a more comprehensive understanding of the endless diversity present in nature. Our model systems are the incredibly diverse Eastern African cichlid fishes.
We are based at the Department of Zoology, University of Cambridge. If you want to join us get in touch.
