Listening to Your Body
After chemical exposure, your body often notices changes before anyone else does. New symptoms, worsening conditions, unusual fatigue, rashes, breathing issues, or neurological changes can be early warning signs that something isn’t right. Paying attention to these signals—and documenting them—helps individuals advocate for their own health and helps communities identify broader patterns of harm.
CICC encourages impacted residents to trust what their bodies are telling them. Tracking symptoms over time creates a record that can support medical care, community-led research, and accountability. When individuals share their experiences, it strengthens the collective evidence that exposure is affecting real people in real ways.
Your body’s story matters. Together, those stories can drive change.
