Delivered presentations to a range of audiences—including professors, reading researchers, practicing teachers, and pre-service educators—on topics related to literacy instruction, inclusive literature, curriculum design, and academic technology.
Presentations were given at academic conferences, university seminars, and system-wide professional learning events across the Texas A&M University System’s 11 campuses. Formats included face-to-face, virtual, and hybrid sessions.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the automaticity theory of fluency (LaBerge & Samuels, 1974) in relation to automatic word recognition of domain specific vocabulary words using expository text.
This study was designed to expand on previous research by Rashotte and Torgesen (1985) that found gains in fluency with repeated readings of passages with word overlap compared to no word overlap
