I am currently a Ph.D. student in Sociology at Rutgers University. I received my B.A. in History and my M.A. in Sociology from National Taiwan University. My research interests lie in economic sociology, environmental sociology, social movements, the sociology of finance, comparative-historical analysis, and the political economy of communication.
My work explores how states and civil societies respond to large-scale social transformations at both global and local levels. Previously, I examined how journalists negotiated editorial autonomy amid structural shifts in the media market. My master's thesis analyzed how Taiwan’s financial regulatory institutions mobilized non-financial disclosure regulations in capital markets to address social pressures and global net-zero trends.
In my future research, I am interested in investigating the emergence, transformations, and consequences of transnational climate finance governance.
