Hi! I am an Assistant Professor at the Korea Institute of Energy Technology (KENTECH) in Naju, South Korea. I received my PhD in philosophy in 2020 from The Ohio State University under the supervision of Ben Caplan and William Taschek. I received my MA and BA in philosophy from Sungkyunkwan University.
Research Areas
I work primarily on issues in the philosophy of language and metaphysics. Much of my current work focuses on issues surrounding the phenomena termed de jure co-reference. In addition to de jure co-reference, my research interests include the following topics:
Mental files and semantic relationism
Formal vs semantic relationism
The semantics and pragmatics of referential terms (e.g. names, definite descriptions, pronouns, indexicals, and demonstratives)
The answering machine puzzle
Metaphysics of propositions
