Hi! I am a senior lecturer in the department of philosophy at the Ohio State University. I received my PhD in philosophy in 2020 from the Ohio State University, under the supervision of Ben Caplan and William Taschek.

Research Area

I work primarily on issues in the philosophy of language and metaphysics. My doctoral dissertation examines issues surrounding the phenomena termed de jure co-reference. In addition to de jure co-reference, I am interested in the following topics:

  • Mental Files and Semantic Relationism

  • Formal vs Semantic Relationism

  • The semantics and pragmatics of referential terms (e.g. names, definite descriptions, pronouns, indexicals, and demonstratives)

  • The Answering Machine Puzzle

  • Metaphysics of propositions
