Outdoor Space Committee 

The Outdoor Space Committee, as a partnership between the Coventry Hills Elementary Fundraising Society (CHEFS) and the School Council, aims to bring inclusivity, fun and learning opportunities to our community, through play and exploration. Our objective is to provide the students, teachers, and staff of Coventry Hills Elementary School, our community of Coventry Hills, and surrounding communities, with an outdoor space that is welcoming, inclusive, and rich with learning opportunities.

We are currently focused on creating a playground that offers a space of inclusivity, fun, and cooperation for the children of our future.  A space where all feel welcome to learn and grow with each other, through cooperative play, while pushing their own boundaries and exploring their individual and group limitations.

School Council

Coventry Hills School Council is made up of parent volunteers who are invested in the well being and success of Coventry Hills School. Under the Education Act, a school council is a collective association designed to advise the principal and the CBE Board of Trustees on matters related to the school. School councils have legislated advisory and decision-making authority defined within the Education Act and the School Councils Regulation.

Parents Society

Coventry Hills Elementary Fundraising Society (CHEFS) is a non-profit Parent Society that raises funds towards supporting our school and our children to enhance learning through enriched educational and physical programs, otherwise not affordable. CHEFS relies on the support of parents, guardians and community members to run all our fundraising activities and special events throughout the year. Decisions are made during School Council / CHEFS meetings to determine where funds should be allocated to best support the school.
