Coronado School of the Arts is a preimer public school art program. It provides an intense, pre-professional arts education to students from Coronado and from all over San Diego, who are admitted after a competitive application/audition process.

A conservatory that focuses on training in concert dance techniques such as ballet and contemporary dance, students are offered the chance to work on skills like improvisation and composition. This conservatory helps to prepare ardent dancers for the professional world of dance.

The Instrumental Music conservatory emphasizes the study of classical and jazz music. Students get the chance to develop their skills through the study music theory, ear training, jazz theory, improvisation, composition and orchestration.

The MTD conservatory offers students with a passion for stage performance the chance to receive in-depth training in acting, singing, and dancing from working professionals. This conservatory prepares students for the professional world of Theatre, including the building of an extensive portfolio which includes each element of the conservatory.

A conservatory for students who have a passion for the visual arts, students have the chance to study the fundamentals of art, art business, and life drawing. Students also learn to develop their perceptual skills and visual literacy, preparing them for a pursuance of art.

This conservatory offers students the chance to study set design as well as get a hands-on approach to the "behind the scenes" of stagecraft. From building sets and creating costumes for CoSA productions, to learning lighting sound design, and house management, this conservatory offers a myriad of chances to become antiquated with Production Design.
