Advanced Acting is an exploratory course designed to provide intermediate and advanced students with the drama and theatre skills of listening, dialogue, and physical commitment needed in acting at the next level. Advanced Acting students will articulate the aesthetics of a variety of characters and rolls through the use of improvisation, body and vocal conditioning, character study, script analysis, and the research, review, and application of basic concepts of acting. Students will express drama and theatre art skills in a variety of performance opportunities. 21st Century skills including student collaboration and teamwork will be consistent themes for this course. Lastly, students will discern and demonstrate appropriate theatre etiquette and content for performer.
