Ms. Meltzer's, or Ms. M's, theatrical story begins at the Growing Stage Theatre in Netcong, New Jersey. This is where she took her very first acting class at the age of 8 and was cast in her very first play as Flopsy in "Peter Rabbit and Friends." She performed in numerous productions there until the age of 12 when she moved to Kansas then eventually to Colorado.
Ms. Meltzer attended Grandview High School of the Cherry Creek School District in Aurora, Colorado. She graduated a proud Grandview Wolf in 2008, while having participated in cheer, theatre and several other extra curricular activities. She was also a member of Grandview's Thespian Troupe. At Grandview Ms. M had the 2 theatre teachers, Dr. Pearl and Ms. Justsis, and they are the ones who inspired Ms. M to pursue a career as a high school drama teacher.
In 2008, Ms. Meltzer moved to Greeley, Colorado where she attended the University of Northern Colorado. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatre Education in 2012. While at UNC, Ms. M joined the sorority of Alpha Omicron Pi while also serving on the Panhellenic Council at UNC. Ms. M remains a proud graduate and supporter of her beloved UNC Bears!
In the summer of 2015 Ms. Meltzer became the proud drama and theatre arts teacher of Central High School located in Grand Junction, Colorado. This school year will mark Ms. Meltzer's sixth year at Central High School, Where Warriors are Made . .
Ms. Meltzer currently resides in Grand Junction, Colorado. She loves to exercise at the gym, go for hikes with her dogs Frank & Beans, and spend time with her fiance Mr. Marshall. Ms.M's favorite musicals are RENT, Wicked, and Hamilton. Ms. M's dream role would be to portray Penny in Hairspray. If you ever have any questions about Ms. M feel free to email her!
