In the fall of my 9th grade in 2022, I decided to apply to boarding schools in America. I hoped that going to school in America would open up more opportunities and new experiences for me, and I was right. I was recruited to play soccer at The Hotchkiss School and enrolled as a new 10th-grade student. 

After completing my first academic and athletic year at Hotchkiss, I have been named as a captain of the soccer team for the next year. As a prospective college student-athlete, the 11th-grade season is crucial for me to showcase my skills to top college coaches across America. To prepare, our team will travel to London for intensive training under Arsenal F.C.'s academy coaches and competitive matches against prestigious academy teams like Queens Park Rangers U18 and Arsenal F.C. academy teams.

The total cost of this experience is USD 5,900 (~ HKD 46,000). The Hotchkiss School's office of financial aid have generously supported my family by aiding USD 3,000 (~ HKD 23,400), meaning my family will only need to contribute USD 2,900 (~ HKD 22,600). While my parents support me financially, I am eager to contribute by fundraising and seeking donations from family and friends. I deeply appreciate their sacrifices to support my education and athletic pursuits, and I am committed to alleviating any kind of financial burden through my efforts.
