Extracurriculars

Since 2021, I have been a Fibershed Producer-Member, offering bio-regionally sourced and handmade textile products. I also served on Fibershed's Equity Cohort from 2022-2023, helping to develop equitable initiatives for the Fibershed community.

Fieldtones is my personal textile label, where I offer various textile goods, natural fibers, and plant-based dye stuffs. My intention is to further develop my business into a communal land project based in the principles of ecotherapy and expressive arts. 

Under Professor Gordon Ulmer, I served in the Ethnographic Research lab at Cal Poly Humboldt. My internship revolved around conducting research on multispecies ethnography, including several literature reviews.

In the summer of 2024, I interned with the Bureau of Land Management and assisted in the development of disabled-accessible informational materials that help to guide the public and BLM stakeholders in navigating the RAPTOR system.

Since 2021, I have intermittently volunteered with the Interfaith Food Ministry in Grass Valley. I have served  in various roles to assist in the distribution of food to their clientele, supporting their vision of "feeding families, fueling hope."

I serve at Potawot as  both a College Corps Fellow and as a summer volunteer, helping to tend to the garden, assisting with community events, and supporting their vision of food sovereignty for the Indigenous communities that they serve. 

From Fall of 2024 until Spring of 2025, I served as Toyon's Assistant Managing Editor. Toyon is the multilingual literature and arts magazine of the Cal Poly Humboldt English Department. We worked to produce Issue 71: Dispatches from the Global Intifada, a revolutionary text on Palestinian liberation and student activism.

Beyond being a spirited group of student writers, the Mythopoetics Club at Sierra College is responsible for producing the Sierra Journal. As a member, I helped to solicit submissions, served as an editor, and helped make selections for the 2023 edition of the journal.

From 2022 to 2023, I participated in a 4-part series of professional development courses in Regenerative Agriculture, offered by CSU Chico's continuing education program.
