Under Dr. Renée Byrd, founder of the Critical Agricultural Studies and Agroecology major, I conducted research and development related to several key programs: Black Plant Relations Project: Collards; Relational Repair and Reparations with Cotton; Composting Racism Community Workshop.
Under Dr. Rebecca Roberston, director of the Interdisciplinary Studies degree program, I researched Critical Textile Studies and developed a college level course curriculum that explored textiles through an interdisciplinary lens.
Under Dr. Gordon Ulmer, I assisted in Multispecies Ethnographic research and conducted a literature review of several key texts. I also developed a project titled the “Socio-ecological Analysis of Textile/Consumer Relationships” that consisted of qualitative and quantitative research.

I completed 900 service hours at United Indian Health Services community garden, Potawot, helping to grow and distribute food and support their vision of Indigenous food sovereignty.
I served as an Outdoor Recreation Intern as part of the BLM’s Direct Hire Authority Internship program with American Conservation Experience; worked on RAPTOR, an online permit tracking platform, to develop disabled accessible training materials and guides for both BLM employees and the public.
I assisted the EBRPD Naturalists Staff in the daily operations of the Sunol Regional Wilderness visitor center, led environmental education programs, and developed digital and written interpretative materials for the public.
As production assistant, I processed raw plant materials into herbal medicines for purchase our retail locations. As the operations manager, I oversaw the daily operations of two retail spaces, an online marketplace, ordering, book-keeping, supervision of employees, shipping/receiving, and customer service.
This was a 32-hour introductory course to the art of interpretation, led by the East Bay Regional Parks District in conjunction with the National Alliance for Interpretation. The program was heavily focused on developing and implementing environmental education programs that emphasized public engagement and stewardship opportunities.
Year-long program on managing food and fiber-producing agricultural systems based on regenerative and restorative practices. The course had an emphasis on soil health, animal integration, and building climate resilience.
Full-time academic program totaling over 2000 hours in the study of traditional Ayurvedic medicine, including two internships and an apprenticeship in Ayurvedic herbalism.
