This is a Storybook project for Myth-Folklore at the University of Oklahoma (Spring 2020).
Some quick background information:
- Hades is the main character. While he may not seem like the main character in every story, we are focusing on his life and responsibilities in the Underworld. Hades is the Greek God (Pluto for Roman) of the Underworld and has two brothers, Zeus and Poseidon, and three sisters, Hestia, Hera, and Demeter. You will get more insight into his family and origin in the first story. He'll tell you about this project himself in the intro.
- Persephone is the Goddess of vegetation or grain and the daughter of Demeter and Zeus. She becomes the wife of Hades and helps rule the Underworld. You will get further insight into her in the second story.
- The Judges of the Underworld are mentioned in The Myths of Greece and Rome and they are entrusted with the task of weighing all of the good and bad thoughts and actions of the souls who arrive. They then deliver these decisions to the scales of Themis, the blindfolded Goddess of justice. You will fill their shoes in the third story.
