Sriram Kanvah Gundimeda (శ్రీరామ్ కణ్వ గుండిమెడ) obtained his PhD in Chemistry from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai under the supervision of Prof. Anil K Singh. Sriram pursued his post-doctoral research in Prof. Gary Schuster's group at Georgia Institute of Technology Atlanta. He returned to join General Electric Company Bangalore, India as a research-intellectual property analyst. In 2009, he joined IIT Gandhinagar as a faculty in chemistry.

The research focus lies in the design and synthesis of π -conjugated molecules based on D-π -A architecture and investigation of their optical properties utilizing spectroscopic techniques. These photoresponsive molecules have applications as light emitting devices, diagnostic imaging agents and sensing.

The teaching interests are in the fields of Organic Spectroscopy, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry and fluorescence spectroscopy. Sriram also has a strong passion towards school science initiatives and gave lecture demos to teachers and students.
