"For this issue, we centered on the theme of Homeland, inviting photographers to submit images that, in one way or another, reflected the places that shaped them. Within these pages, you’ll find perspectives spanning from Scandinavia to Central Asia. Each artist approached their homeland differently. For some, it meant documenting the physical environments that define a place through landscape. For others, homeland existed less in geography and more in family, memory, and the people and traditions that give a place its meaning. Together, this collection of work reminds us that homeland is both where we come from and what we carry with us. One of the many things that makes art so powerful in a global context is its ability to transcend distance. A photograph taken on an island off the coast of France, or rooted in the streets of Kolkata, India, can speak to a viewer in California. In that way, art becomes a language of connection, cultivating conversations that bridge geographies, cultures, and experiences. I hope that this issue reminds us that while our homelands may differ, the instinct to document, understand, and celebrate them is something we all share."

"This season’s theme, Solstice, explores the art of transition: the subtle moment when one phase yields to another. Inspired by the shift from summer to autumn, Solstice reflects on change as both inevitable and essential. It’s in the way light alters form, how color deepens, and how artists respond to cycles of growth and renewal. We were thrilled to see the enthusiasm surrounding the last issue, and with this new edition, Chromatic continues to grow alongside the contributors and readers that make it possible. In a continued effort to form connections through the art community, we’ve included a new section showcasing local art events. We curated this issue to capture a point of transformation. The contrast between pages and pieces remind us that every ending carries the promise of a beginning."
