What is Individual Therapy?
Individual therapy is a unique opportunity for you to connect with a counsellor who truly listens, understands, and supports you. As your counselor, I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and challenges at your own pace. Together, we’ll work to uncover the changes you’re seeking and help you take meaningful steps toward a better future.

Couples therapy offers a safe space to strengthen your relationship by improving communication, resolving conflicts, and deepening emotional connection.
Using evidence-based approaches like Emotionally Focused Therapy, the Gottman Method, and Solution-Focused Therapy, I tailor each session to your unique needs. Whether in-person or virtual, my goal is to help you and your partner build trust, navigate challenges, and create a more fulfilling partnership. Let’s work together to foster understanding, connection, and lasting harmony.
Family counseling, or family therapy, helps families improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen relationships by addressing challenges like parenting struggles, marital issues, grief, behavioral concerns, or major life changes. Therapy typically begins with an initial assessment, where I learn about the family’s concerns, history, and goals.
Together, we set clear objectives to work toward during sessions, which typically last 50–90 minutes and may involve the whole family or specific members. Using techniques like communication exercises, role-playing, and exploring family dynamics, I help the family develop new skills and strategies.
Families are encouraged to practice these skills between sessions, with progress regularly reviewed to ensure goals are met. Family therapy is often short-term and focuses on building healthier relationships and equipping families to handle future challenges effectively.
In my practice, I use a variety of evidence-based approaches to support clients' unique needs.
These include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to address thought patterns, Person-Centered Therapy (PCT) for a supportive environment, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to build on strengths.
I incorporate Trauma-Informed and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) to address emotions and healing, as well as Mindfulness-Based techniques to enhance present-moment awareness.
For relationships, I use Family Systems, Attachment-Based, and Relationship Counseling approaches. I also provide support through Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Psychodynamic Therapy, and specialized counseling for grief, loss, career, and life transitions.
