I envision a future where robots and autonomous systems lead to transformative advancements across various sectors, revolutionizing industries such as healthcare, manufacturing, transportation, agriculture, and disaster response offering unprecedented levels of efficiency, precision, and adaptability.
My ultimate goal is to contribute to the development of a sustainable society via the robust and efficient use of autonomous systems. My research directions evolve around the efficient coordination of autonomous systems by taking into account adaptability, scalability, and safety. More specifically, my interests include:
Control of systems with uncertain dynamics
Nonlinear adaptive control
Safety-critical systems
Robotics
Multi-agent systems
Reinforcement learning
Temporal logic-based planning
I am always looking for interested master students to work in the aforementioned topics. Also check here for available projects: https://www.uu.se/en/students/department/electrical-engineering/degree-project
I received the MEng degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and the MSc degree in Automatic Control Systems and Robotics both from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in 2013 and 2015 respectively. I received my PhD in Electrical Engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, under the guidance of Prof. Dimos Dimarogonas and Prof. Danica Kragic.
My PhD Thesis thesis was awarded the EECI PhD Award on Control for Complex and Heterogeneous Systems 2020 and was selected to be one of the finalists for the EuRobotics Georges Giralt PhD Award EuRobotics Georges Giralt PhD Award 2020.
I held postdoctoral positions at the University of Texas at Austin between 2020 and 2022, working with Prof. Ufuk Topcu.
Since February 2022, I have been an assistant professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering at Uppsala University.
An updated version of my CV can be found here.
