Christopher Perez

Hello!

My name is Christopher Perez and I am 26 years old and was born and raised in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. I have lived here most of my life but at times did live in Mexico for brief periods with my family. I am currently employed at The Medical University of South Carolina as a Medical Laboratory Technician and attending Georgia Southern University to further my education and career capabilities in the laboratory field. I have had previous jobs, but working at MUSC was always my goal ever since I was a child. I have been married to my wonderful wife for 3 years who is also a Medical Laboratory Technician. It is kind of an advantage because we can relate to each other about our jobs. As for education, I have an associates degree in applied health science in medical laboratory technology from Trident Technical College, and one day hope to have a masters degree in a related field. My main area of work is in hematology and clinical chemistry, and I would also love to one day be trained in cytogenetics or specialized hematology. I also have interest in being a college professor for biology and anatomy and physiology classes.
