About Me

"Live as if you were to die tomorrow; learn as if you were to live forever."

-Mahatma Gandhi

As an instructional designer, I am excited to continually grow and learn both as a person, as well as a professional who shares knowledge and creates measurable and impactful behavior change for clients.

My lifelong passion for learning was ignited by an insatiable desire to read and acquire knowledge during my formative years. At Montclair State University, I pursued a double major in Physics and Music Composition driven by a commitment to mastering diverse areas of interest. My belief that understanding physics equips me for any challenge remains steadfast, while the joy derived from music and disciplined practice continue to enrich my life.

After earning a Masters in Physics at Virginia Tech, I furthered my education with a Masters in Instruction and Curriculum Design, transitioning from a love of learning to a passion for teaching and dedication to sharing knowledge. Over 12 years, I taught physics and STEM in a public high school, concurrently coaching an award-winning Robotics Team. Simultaneously, my passion for rock climbing took root, teaching me the importance of physical and mental resilience. The pursuit of this sport ultimately led me to becoming a certified performance climbing coach, where I honed my skills in both training myself and others as athletes.

These diverse experiences naturally led me to the field of Instructional Design. I believe my background equips me to master both the technical and creative aspects of the field, fostering continuous growth on my learning journey. While enrolled in the Applied Instructional Design Academy, I addressed knowledge gaps and enhanced skills in adult learning theories and authoring tools. Embracing the ethos of a lifelong learner, I consistently seek opportunities to expand my capabilities through webinars, training sessions, and other avenues.

In the past years, I transitioned to roles as an instructional designer, contributing to various e-Learning experiences for adult learners in both contract and volunteer capacities. Beyond the realm of Instructional Design, I prioritize spending quality time with family and friends, indulging my love of climbing, and practicing self-care through work-life balance, reading, time outdoors, travel, meditation and the continual pursuit of self-growth. These passions not only enrich my life but also enable me to better support, care for and share with others.
