I was born to Nigerian immigrants and learned about the injustices around the world from a young age. I would help my parents pack donations that we would ship to Nigeria and spend weekends volunteering at church. As I got older, I realized that I had a wide range of strengths and wanted a career where I could apply them. With lots of career research, shadowing, internships, and interviewing professionals in the field, I decided that I wanted to pursue a career in philanthropy.
I have found a passion in community service and philanthropy and want to pursue it as a career. To do so, I am looking to complete my bachelor's degree in either psychology or sociology, my master's degree in Public Administration, and then proceed to earn my Juris Doctor. This allows me great flexibility in what I do in the future. Furthermore, both of these positions are projected to either grow remain stable in the future.
I have intentionally left lots of wiggle room in my career choices. Using Roadtrip Nation, I was able to find people who had my dream jobs and take inspiration from what they did to make an informed decision on what I wanted to do in life and have alternative routes as well.

NYU is my dream school because it allows me to pursue my passion I envisioned it. With a Bachelor's Master's Program, I can knock out two steps of my career plans at once. They also have amazing fellowships to build cohorts of students who are on the same track.
