Why is reading important?
Reading is not only good for our imaginations, but it is also good for every aspect of our lives. It helps children make sense of the world and people around them. Reading helps keep our minds strong by using and learning vocabulary, comprehension and speech/print relationships.
Why is good literature so important?
Literature allows a student to go back in time and learn about life events from the ones who came before us. We develop a better understanding of different background and cultures and have a greater appreciation of them. We learn through what was written about history in the form of reading.
