My work examines how environmental non-governmental organizations operate in restrictive political environments, and how organizational legitimacy affects support for environmental policy. I am a mixed-methods researcher with a focus on survey experiments, conjoint analysis, and computational text analysis.
My research has appeared in Global Policy and the Journal of Public Policy. I have written commentary for the Washington Post and Asian Management Insights. I am preparing a book manuscript based on my dissertation, Shaping Civil Society: Media, Donors and Public Trust in Southeast Asian NGOs.
