Statement of Faith
Christian Military Homeschoolers was founded on Biblical Christian principles.
- The Bible is the inspired Word of God, absolute in its authority, complete in its revelation, final in its content and without error. (2Tim 3:16, Heb 4:12, Rev 22:18-19)
- There is one true and living God who exists for all eternity in the three persons of the Trinity – God the Father, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. (Matt 28:19)
- The Lord Jesus Christ is fully God. He became also fully man at His incarnation. He was born of a virgin, crucified, buried and raised bodily from the dead on the third day. His death was a penal and substitutionary sacrifice for the sins of the world and His resurrection manifests God’s satisfaction with His shed blood for the remission of sins. He is now ascended up to the right hand of the Father where He makes intercession for the saints, and He will someday come to earth the second time to reign in power and great glory. (Rm 5:1-11, John 3:16)
- Salvation is obtained only by grace through faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, and outside of Christ’s blood is no merit or saving righteousness of any kind. Salvation is obtained instantly at the moment of belief, and is secure eternally. (1Pet 1:18-19, Eph 2:8, Act 4:12)
- We believe that all human life is sacred and created by God, in His image. Human life is of inestimable worth in all its dimensions, including pre-born babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged, and every other stage or condition from conception through natural death. We are therefore called to defend, protect, and value of human life. (Ps 139)
- Since every human being is created in the image of God as either male or female, a gender that is encoded genetically and manifested physiologically prior to birth, it should remain so until death. Any effort to violate or change the creative order of God by attempting to modify or transform human gender is sin. (Gen 1:27)
- Marriage is the union of one man and one woman. The family units thus formed on these principles provide the foundation of civil society. Since marriage is biblically defined as between one man and one woman, all other unions are sinful. Persons engaged in such violations of God’s Law should be lovingly called to turn from their sin and seek forgiveness through repentance and faith in Christ. (1 Cor 6:18, 7:2-5, Act 3:19-21, Rm 10:9-10, 1Cor 6:9-11)
The statement of faith does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs. The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and final source of all that we believe. For the purposes of Christian Military Homeschooler’s faith, doctrine, practice, policy, and discipline, our board member’s are the co-ops final authority on the Bible’s meaning and application.
