Membership Requirements

Membership Requirements

CMH is a co-op and support group and they are only what each member puts into it.

1. You must submit the information necessary for a background check upon registration for membership. Cost of background check is included in semester fee. This process protects our children, and provides peace of mind. Any questionable activity will be discussed in private.

2. For the co-op, you must commit to attending and volunteering for a 10-12 week semester. You will be assigned 4 classes- this means you will be required to assist in or teach a class. Generally during your first semester, we only ask that you assist in classes but there may be occasions when we are short handed and need our new members to teach. This co-op is completely run by our parent volunteers, we are dependent upon you being there to teach/co teach the class you are assigned to. If you will be absent, please let a board member know as soon as possible so we can find a replacement.

3. Each family must have at least one child in classes K-12 (i.e. all children may not be signed up for PreK or Nursery).

4. Each family will be required to pay a semester fee. This fee covers the cost of the website, group insurance, background checks and general supplies. The semester fee is slightly variable each semester based on the needs of the co-op. The cost is generally around $65 ($69 for paypal) per family for the co-op.

5. Besides the semester fee, each family is responsible to pay class fees for each class your child is enrolled in. The class fee is a one time fee set by the teacher that only covers the cost of the class supplies.

6. Each family will be responsible for setting up and cleaning up during the co-op day. Each family will have 1-2 days per semester to help with set up/clean up & recess duties. Your responsibilities will be determined per semester.

7. Each family must Follow all policies and procedures.

8.Acknowledge that CMH is a Christian organization with a Statement of Faith. Members will need to agree to not teach against the statement of faith.
