What are Igneous Rocks?
Igneous rocks are rocks that are formed by magma. When magma cools down, it becomes a solid. This can happen below the surface of the Earth or on the surface of the Earth.
About 95% part of earth’s crust is made up of igneous rock.
Igneous rocks are helpful in the growth of plants because they contain many minerals that can help a plant to grow.
The Earth’s moon is made up of igneous rocks.
The word igneous comes from a word in Latin that means fire.
