In my second-grade classroom, I believe that educational technology should be a tool that enhances learning, builds curiosity, and supports every student’s growth. Technology should not replace hands-on learning or human connection, but rather serve as a bridge that makes learning more engaging, accessible, and meaningful.
I use technology to help students practice key skills in interactive ways, such as math games that offer immediate feedback or reading tools that support fluency and comprehension. I also incorporate digital storytelling and creative tools to encourage students to express themselves, think critically, and collaborate with others.
It’s important to me that students also learn digital citizenship—how to use technology respectfully, responsibly, and safely. In every activity, I aim to model and teach good online behavior and thoughtful use of digital tools.
Overall, my goal is to use educational technology to create a classroom environment where students are active participants in their own learning, and where every child, regardless of ability level, has the chance to succeed, explore, and grow.
