Chris O'Kane, PhD LMSW
Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist
New York, NY
I am a psychotherapist at Rose Hill Psychological Services, where I work with individuals, couples, and groups.
I work with people struggling with life transitions, career or school challenges, relationship issues, self-esteem, stress, anxiety, depression, and a loss of meaning to collaboratively explore how past and present relationships and desires shape these issues.
I hold a Master of Social Work from Silberman School of Social Work at CUNY Hunter College, an MA in Intellectual History and PhD in Social and Political Thought from the University of Sussex, and a BA in Liberal Arts from the Evergreen State College.
Prior to completing my MSW, I was a tenured Associate Professor with a decade-long career in higher education. I have remained active in research and publishing on Frankfurt School critical theory, with new books coming out in 2026 and 2027.
