• Developed and advocated for significant changes to health education standards to ensure LGBTQ inclusion and relevancy which were approved in 2016 and are likely the most LGBTQ inclusive health curriculum in the United States
• Coordinated with local and national organizations to write and pass the Youth Suicide Prevention and School Climate Survey Amendment Act of 2015, which mandates yearly suicide prevention, intervention, postvention training for school based personnel as well as the creation of policies aimed at suicide prevention in schools. It was the first law in the United States to require school suicide policies address the needs of LGBTQ youth
• Guided overall policy and advocacy work with a goal of improving the lives of LGBTQ young people in Washington, DC
