Chris Nolting

Visiting Assistant Professor

Gustavus Adolphus College

Brief Bio:

I'm currently a visiting Professor at Gustavus Adolphus College in Saint Peter, MN. I am teaching a variety of physics courses there, as well as continuing research with collaborators at Los Alamos focusing on the dynamics of magnetically driven galactic jets. Prior to arriving at Gustavus, I was a postdoc at the College of Charleston and then later at Los Alamos National Laboratory. I earned my  PhD in astrophysics from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, where I also earned my Bachelor's degrees in Physics and Astrophysics. When I'm not teaching or running simulations, you can probably find me experimenting with new cooking recipes or playing board games or Magic the Gathering.
