What is Private Guided Tour: An in-depth city tour with a local guide following a tailored and balanced itinerary
Credible. It is prohibited to practice guided tour in China without the license. My license was registered in 2012.
Flexible! You could propose your preferred sites, OR, follow mine. Contact me to finalize the itinerary before your departure.
Cost-saving. As a private individual and a certified tourguide, I can be professional but without those overhead expenses and hassles of a traditional travel agency.
Private: Just you and me !!! but welcome to bring along new friends to share the cost, totally cool for me!
You could book the tour via online platform (I am accessible on GetyourGuide, Civitatis, Guru, Freetour, TourHQ), OR you could contact me offline to enjoy my special offer (paid-on-site at the end of tour day, *I need you to book the date via platform-cancellable for free).
Third-party expenses are to be paid at your discretion. If you need it (car rental, entry-ticket, meal), pay it on site.

Where is Chongqing, and what is special about it? -- (See the map). Chongqing, or Chungking, whatever you call it. It is a booming destination thanks to social media. "An Internet sensation"
It has mountains, rivers, roads for hiking/citywalk, and tantalizing food.
Some people jokingly said "it is 'dangerous' to travel here because you may walk away with an empthy wallet and a lot of carbs".😂 No exaggeration. Or you may walk away with a slim body (after all these staircases climbing)🤣 Both are happy endings.
An inland city situated in the southwestern China, the city seeing the confluence of Yangtse and Jialing River, the start of Three Gorges Cruise trip, the city of mountainous landscape and unique modern vibe, the home to 30 million people, the culinary hub (hotpot, chili and pepper). The list can go on...
Subtropical city, summer heat (38-40 Celsius in July and August), no snow in winter. High Humidity throughout the year. You'll sweat like a pig in Aug.

For Chongqing Metro Transit, Visa/Master via Alipay hardly works. * So far, international credit cards work with Beijing, Shanghai and Chengdu.
It is advised to use "balance" in your Alipay or WeChat Pay, or seek assistance from staff (pay cash). Some stations have POS machine, while most of them are not equipped with it.
Chongqing Metro Transit has launched "day-pass" product/package. Buy it from the counter/ticket box.

Tips prior to departure:
Chongqing (GMT +8, China). Be mindful of time difference when you make a contact.
It is advised NOT to travel in July and August due to summer heatwave.
Transport, meal/food, accommodation, entry tickets, and other third-party expenses are NOT included in the trip, but it is always to welcome to consult me should you need recommendation.
Typical one-day city tour takes around 7 hours (0930AM-1700PM). Well-paced itinerary! Extra charge for overtime.
If you wish to make the itinerary compact, renting a car is recommended!
Western style toilet/sit toilet are hard to come by in China unless it is in shopping malls and hotels. On the contrary, most of public places offer squad toilets without toilet papers!
It is advised to install WeChat and Alipay (see more how-to) in your smartphone before you come to China. *WeChat for comms, while Alipay for payment.
Petty cash is desired for city transport (subway and bus). It is possible but not convenient for international tourists to register QR code on Alipay.
Make sure you SIM card or e-SIM works. Sometimes, they are not compatible with WeChat, or hotel Wi-Fi. No WhatsApp here!
Consult your mobile service provider about Internet connectivity (Google products, Facebook, etc). **China Mobile/Unicom sells SIM cards to foreigners, but Google products alike without VPN are blocked. As of now, China Mobile provides 20GB + 80 min voice call combo at CNY129, valid for 2 months (the basic combo package)
Chongqing is mountainous and hilly, so you should expect intense walking (CityTour), but it is what the trip is about!😆 Get a slim body!

Worn-out banknotes cannot be accepted because they are not trade-able with banks. >>> For AMEX, Mastercard, Visa cardholders, it is advised to withdraw cash from ATM or counter in China owned by Bank of China.
China is not open to all currencies. To save time, you need to have them prepared in advance. It could take you 1 hour at the bank counter finishing all the processes before you get the paper notes.
There is a ATM currency trading machine at the arrival hall of Airport (see below). You need to prepare relatively new paper notes and valid travel doc.
