The American Institute of Physics (AIP) Center for the History of Physics and Niels Bohr Library & Archives are pleased to host a fifth international conference for graduate students and early career scholars, to be held September 3–6, 2020, at the Niels Bohr Archive in Copenhagen, Denmark. The goal of this conference is to foster communication and collaboration amongst junior scholars and to provide a forum for exploring and reflecting upon current issues in the historiography of the physical sciences. This conference is the fourth in the series following the first three, which were held at Trinity College, Cambridge UK in 2014, Pöllau, Austria in 2016 and San Sebastian, Spain in 2018. It will be the first to be formally overseen by an International Advisory Committee which is recognised by the Institute of Physics and the European Physical Society.

The Commission on the History of Physics (CHP) from the Division of History of Science and Technology (DHST) of the International Union of History and Philosophy of Science (IUHPS) is pleased to offer some small grants-in-aid to defray travel expenses of some participants of the 25th International Congress of History of Science and Technology to be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 23 to 29 July 2017.
Early career scholars and PhD students presenting papers related to the history of physics at this congress are eligible for the grants-in-aid. Applications should be sent to the e-mail historyofphysics.dhst@gmail.com including a short CV, and the title and the abstract of the talk to be delivered at the congress. Applications must be sent by May 20, 2017 and results will be announced on May 25, 2017. The CHP-DHST is offering grants-in-aid of up to $500 each one, amounting to $6,000 in total.
